simplifying the hud

So in my quest to make my adventure game i was able to figure out the placing of the sword with choosing my tile using the code but there has to be a more artist friendly way to do this. I might suggest a pickup and place sprite system. I know this is probably more of a concern down the line but maybe there could be an easier way than counting the 8x8 tiles at a method like so. 3rd row so 0,1,2 then 8th in so0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 to get #$28 for the sprite location of my sword.

So it might be simple as this for a start. in the pixel editor not just showing the x,y and r,g,b,a locations you also share the 8x8 hexidecimal numbers. i just kinda sucks to count to get your sprite data
