Hi,

I'm hawken, based in Japan. I've made a few NES things before but have always been limited by not having hardcore coding skills for asm. NESMaker is a blessing for me.

Although I can't legally use a lot of the graphics I've made in the past, like the ones above (which was a unreleased NES prototype pitched to big N), I do hope to make something small on my own IP and start from there. I released a gameboy styled retro game called Pirate Pop Plus on Switch, so perhaps something to do with that. http://dadako.com/seijin/projects/pirate-pop-plus

I also write about 8-bit things sometimes: http://dadako.com/seijin/news/pixel-pirate-devlog-what-is-8bit

I'm an old hand at Unity & C# so hopefully this should be a smooth experience. Please forgive me if I ask noob questions.

Cheers.

Welcome hawken
Glad to have you with us... a talented pixel artist like you :)
NESmaker will allow you to make small games with your graphics. The tool is still young, but it will continue to grow and become more robust with years.
If not already done, I suggest you to follow the tutorial videos... you'll learn how to use, how it works... a lot of of specific things to understand.
Feel free to ask for hep, questions... share your projects, ideas, comments!,,,

Have fun!

PS: yeah, links don't work on the forum, it's like that since the last maintenance (to re enforce the security).

Hi Hawken!

Welcome. I checked out your article about the Pixel Pirate dev log. It was an interesting read, I'd like to play that game.

Your pixel graphics look great; can't wait to see what you create in nesmaker.
