Undecided yet...

Hi all
As the title explains i'm still undecided wether to buy NES MAKER or not. Even though the idea of running my own game on my NES is very tempting i still can't figure out how this thing works! I've watched the tutorials but it looks very complicated....

It's not too complicated, but you need to learn how to use it and how it works.
The tutorials videos would help you from A to Z...
If you want to make your own NES game, flash it on a cartridge and play on a real NES console... NESmaker is the easier tool
If you just want to make your own 8bit style game. I'd recommand something easier like game maker or a similar tool.

Its pretty amazing and definitely worth the time and effort. And it's far easier to work alongside the tutorials as you go.

I can't wrap my head around it. I used Gamemaker before and the way it works is totally different from NESMAKER. On the other hand side GM doesn't export to NES.

If you want to make a real NES game (emulator or cartridge, ...), NESmaker is your answer
