Hello Everyone!

My name is Brandon and I'm a game designer/developer. I own a small studio called Salt & Pixel which develops games and provides art and creative services for video games. I was able to turn a hobby into a dream career. I grew up during the 8/32/64 bit era, which shows in the games I've made. I picked up NESMaker hoping to explore the NES and to understand "authenticity" a little better when creating games of this time period. I'm looking forward to learning how to use NESMaker and hopefully connect with some of you.

If you're curious about my work, you can learn more here: https://saltandpixel.com/artworkanddesign and here: https://gamejolt.com/@saltandpixel

Welcome Saltandpixel

Glad to have you here with us :)
NESmaker is a very fun tool to make simple NES games (that you can play on a real NES console!). A good start is the tutorial videos, watch all of them... And follow the ones for the tutorial games)
Then you can go alone, making your own one... with your experience of the tutorial games.
The current version, the 4.5 is a beta, it comes with an almost empty module that doesn't allow to do a lot of things. It's meant to be used with the Summer Camp, a series of tutorial videos to learn how to use NESmaker, how it works and how to customize that module with scripts.

Feel free to share your ideas, comments, projects, WIPs, ... If you have issues or questions, don't hesitate to ask. There will always be someone that will try to help you :)

Can't wait to see what you will create with NM.
