Music from Famitracker help

Hello gang! I am working with the intro 20 minute tutorials and wanted to add in a Famitracker piece. I still want to use the default SFX from the tutorial pack.

Would someone mind taking my Famitracker TXT file and work it into something I can add to my WIP?

Much appreciated!

This famitracker composition will not work.

All of your drums are DPCM and nesmaker does not support DPCM currently, The sound engine (gradual games sound) that nesmaker uses supports DPCM, but samples need to be stored in zero page memory and there is simply no room left after nesmakers vanilla code base is stored.

You can read up on GGsound here:
http://www.gradualgames.com/p/sound-engine.html

Also, Cuttercross posted a very thorough list of do's and do not's in the music/sound section of the forum. I would recommend taking a look there before attempting to set up your fami-file.
http://nesmakers.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=3018

There are a number of issues other than the DPCM that would prevent your current text file from working, You have a lot of empty frames as well, you'll need to set a blank instrument at the beginning of a silent frame to prevent the engine from getting confused. Basically, you'll need to create an instrument instructing the sound engine to play silence.
Also, you'll need to go into Module->Module Properties -> and add at least 1 sound effect. You'll need hit the ADD button and then title your sound effect like this: sfx_variable so GGsound can recognize it as a SFX...
Keep in mind, SFX can only use a maximum of 2 channels

I could fix this famitracker file for you, but ultimately you will have to re think what you are going to do about drums before anything can be fixed...

Hope this helps!

Actually, I just threw on some super generic noise drums and removed the DPCM, add blank instruments to the blank rows, added a single sound effect, Removed any data you inputted into the effects column (ggsound does not support these type of effects)

you can download a fresh text file here:

(my links do not work for whatever reason, you'll have to copy/paste it into your browser.

Good luck!
