Placed Player not showing up in Test Game

If you're following the scrolling platformer tutorial the first thing I'd double-check is your sprite-0 settings if you've already got that set up. (Seeing as that's the most likely culprit new users run into.) Sprite-0 needs to be a non-transparent sprite graphic overlayed on top of a non-transparent background graphic.

And your tile 127 (the last one) in your GameObjectTileset.bmp ?

No problem. Sprite0 is not an easy settings.
