8 Bit Space 2 (WIP)

For the last few weeks, I have been working on level layout.

I've also been adding adding new enemy types.

I have also ordered a 100 cartridge shells for once its finished.
hopefully that will keep me motivated :)

Btw, do you have plan for the edition release ? will you assemble everything yourself ? Or working with a company for that (INL, Frank W... or maybe Broke Studio)?

Hi @dale_coop, I have just received my cart shells from Alliexpress and I was going to order the PCB's from Broke Studio and flash them myself but Alastair put on FB that he had Broke studio produce Flea for him, so I might look into that option.

How did you produce your physical copies, if you don't mind me asking?

I've been playing around with the opening cut scenes again, they still need a ton of work and the dialogue needs adding but they're getting there, slowly.

Finished mapping out all 16 levels, adding them into Nesmaker is taking forever! ha
Once I have the shell of the level down I can play around with the enemy placement and items.

Think I might try and fill in all of the 512 rooms, most of the Overworld is full but in the Underworld still has a way to go!

Thanks @Logana it doesn't feel like it at times, it's taking a lot longer than I thought it would. Hopefully, I might be finished sometime this decade! haha

I know the feeling but to be honest it looks like you've progressed a lot with it. Everyone has different amounts of free time they can spend on their project.

That's true, I'm quite lucky as Game Development is my full-time job, it's just a pain I have to put so much time into trying to comply will all the new privacy changes Google and Apple have introduced on their App Stores.

On a side note, Bad Hare Day is coming along nicely (y)

Thanks a lot. Had quite a lot of 'wins' recently with coding so things are starting to come together. I'm self employed so have the luxury of being able to work on it more than I probably should, quite lucky in that respect. To be honest, I'm happier to do bits and bats now and then and not get washed out with gamedev.
