Ahoy NESMakers!

Hi everybody, I've been fooling around with NESMaker for a couple months now and would like to introduce myself. I'm Mike, and have been doing website development as my full time job for the past 18 years. My younger self was a video game nerd until I "retired" at age 18 in 2000 and haven't really played many new games since. So, I have an affinity for the old games, especially SNES and NES. I love having NESMaker as a shortcut of sorts to making real NES games and am enjoying the challenge of making something real.

I'm working on a simple "Adventure Base" game that I hope will become an interactive holiday card by December, where the first screen is a little 8-bit greeting but if you notice you can move around... the game begins! I have some assets built and some screens working, right now am trying to do some tricky things with the HUD and trying to get NESMaker games to work in a browser so the general population can play it in a browser without downloading it, firing up an emulator, etc... most folks I know aren't that savvy ^_^ and I've been getting closer to getting the "Pinky" emulator running in a browser but no solid luck yet. And if anybody wants to collaborate on some Christmas-themed music... I could sure use that help!

It would be super cool if I can enter this into this year's Byte-Off, but we'll see how it goes!

Pleased to meet you and glad to be in the community!

Hey Karikas
Glad to have you here with us.
It's a fun little projet you have. Good luck and please, don't hesitate to share it on the WIP section. We love to see how projects are progressing.

Pinky is a nice emulator, it's the one used for the ByteOff games on the website.

Have fun!
