Here's more progress on the shroom boss. Just working out the stuff
before making it cooler. Same with the skele-puter boss.

I may have them just puke up stuff, and save the gogo gadget arm
for the shroopies i can have walk on the ceiling.

So i think im starting this project back up. Took a much needed break.
I actually developed a Cabal-style shooter. It's got most of the coding worked out.
(made with Gamemaker, not nesmaker)
But i miss doing NES suff and i would like to make my second game alot better
than my first.So here i go, And this time.... i might even have sound FX!

Heres the demo.
There are several moves/actions so far.Press......
L to Move
R to move
D to duck
B to shoot
A to jump
Select to dash (has cooldown)
U to phase(has cool down(slows down game creating endless objects when touching an enemy
the point of phasing is to not get hurt by an enemy,but kinda cool.I will fix though))
HOLD D and A to activate drill(a noise should start, you can destroyblocks)(in testing phase)
Also jump shoot,jump then dash, dash then phase,duck and shoot,phase then turnaround.
Please play around.

I appreciate the honesty. I guess its more of a memo,rather than a demo.

For now, I am not too sold on those very slippery controls. I really think it's not a good route to take.
And her blaster shoots like a tank, I can understand little bit of backwards recoil from a charged blast but from regular blasts, it's just silly.

Apparently for now you can also jump indefinitely in air.

Though, I do like the idea of drilling mechanism, dashing and... Shifting "What ever that does?"

But yeah, I'd most certainly eliminate the slippery controls for something more solid and fitting for platforming.

Anyways, nice to see that you're getting your second project on the roll.

Agreed. But you will have to earn better boots and better guns! Yeah so while editing stuff, somehow my players grip less-ned? Even though I didn't mess with anything like that.I'm not sure how but yeah, she floats around pretty bad since that. I will fix that soon.That way your character IS kinda shat until and upgrade or two. Yeah I keep it at an infinite jump for debugging,phasing will make it so enemies can't hurt you after I fix it. Thanks for playing it!

Changed and refined some things. Took all criticisms into account.
Drill kick works better,the controls are less slippery,recoil only for certain guns.
If you release select,it should change weapons also.(it is dash for now too)
Only a double jump for now,but you wont start with it in the actual game.
Well you wont start with much ofcourse....but this is a test of alot of stuff so....
If anything is off or whatever, this is mainly a debug room demo, not so much a gameplay demo.
But have at it whoever wants to try it out!

HAHA so i was really trying to fix this one. And i noticed that
my ice bricks werent "working"..
In reality,i accidentally made AAALLLLLLLLL of my solids Icey !
Fixed.Thanks for the persistence. Updated the ROM.

Yeah, much better now. I'd personally raise Almika's movement speed a little but other than that, everything seems quite spot on.
Though maybe there should be some sort of loading indicator for charged shot?
