Binary <-> Hex plugin missing

Hey friends.

I have NESmaker 4.5.9. installed on two computers patched from 4.5.6. exactly the same way... but for some reason under plugins only the first computer has the plugin showing up. Is there a way to get it back on the 2nd computer?

Inside your NESmaker folder, make sure you have the "Plugins" subfolder with the 2 files in it.

I had the same problem. I replaced the UtilityPlugin.dll with one from a previous version, and it worked fine. If you'd like to try it, I'll attach a working (at least for me) plugin here.

1) Backup your original plugin to be safe. I just added .tmp to the end.
2) Unzip the UtilityPlugin.dll into the plugins folder.

Hope it helps.

None of the 4.5.X versions I have on my computer show that binary <-> hex plugin, and downloading that attachment didn't solve anything on my end. I'm guessing the real issue involves more about your computer setup - likely regarding support for such plugins in the first place, but that's just a guess.

Thanks, Razzie but CutterCross appears to be right (again!) I tried that file and didn’t work. Must be some setting on my laptop.

Not only is NESMaker like a brain teaser every day.. but now my computer settings along with it 🤣

Dale!! How did I miss your message? I tried uninstalling my free antivirus on my computer and it still did the same thing... maybe it’s a setting in windows defender? I’ll have to check it out.

As there seems to be no fix for 4.5.x, I just use the programmer setting of my Windows calculator to do hex/dec/bin conversion.
