Hello!

I first ran into NESmaker at PRGE 2019, and have had the NESmaker+DVD bundle since a holiday deal I took advantage of late 2019…

The DVD was fantastic - really must give hats off to Joe and the NM team for the amazing videos and awards shows they have done!

As to the app — the main impediment for me to *use* it has been lack of a PC (my daily driver is a MacBook Air).

Back in the 80s, I developed various games and utilities for Atari 8-bit (some 6502 Macro Asssmbler, some in C), and later on Atari ST. I’ve been (tediously) working on resurrecting them from original macro assembler printouts, and plan to post them later on.

It reminded me what a joy it was to be developing for those platforms!

As part of my day job, I’m part of a team working on a brand new emulator for these platforms the past 2 or so years — Argon.

We recently added NES support (January), and also support Atari 2600/7800/Lynx, Coleco, Intellivision and Vectrex.

Over time, we plan to add support for all the cartridge based consoles and home computers of the 70s-90s.

It runs on Android, Amazon, Chromebook and Raspberry Pi, and supports phone, tablet, TV and laptop/desktop form factors.

If you’d like your NES creation to appear in Argon, just drop me a line! We have a “free play” section open at the moment, with a premium section for subscribers (commercially licensed games) to come later.

I am also a daily Mac user... I use NESmaker on a Win10 in a VM on my MacBook.
Your emulator looks fun ! (sadly not available on iPhone ;))

We're all (at mark/space) Mac users... We'll eventually be doing desktop versions of Argon (Mac and PC).

As to iOS, as you are probably aware, Apple app store rules preclude open-ended emulators. If that rule changes, we'll do iOS straight away.

Because of our Mac background, it would be (relatively) easy for us to do an iOS version. especially if we already had a Mac version done.

(Internally, we have a version that compiles in XCODE that will run from the command line - it is the UI we'd have to add for a Mac version at this point)/
