I know the title is basic but I don’t really have much to name it’s it’s a game where you platform as a cat with springs and clouds and bushes in the grasslands and dark cave and a dungeon with the final boss , I finished up the music and have the basic rough game mechanics in nesmaker 4.5.6 and I have a Neet wittle gimmick with the controls when you can’t stop moving in the left or right direction so you have to time everything also a pause system because it takes like only a minute to implement also a playable title screen where you have to reach a flag to start the game used as a small Tutorial to help you get used to the controls
I will add some picture and the soundtrack I made for it tomorrow
The soundtrack is really good I think it’s my best work so far since I did a little bit of practice and made some Neet instruments like a triangle kick to add some more depth to precision and I researched a little bit about videog music and some interesting things and added harmony to most pulse wave notes. this is just a little tiny demo to show you how it works View attachment platycat test game.zip and here are a few pictures of the first level platycat picture 1.pngplatycat picture 2.pngplatycat picture finale.png

Great! I love cats. Hey if not a cat, maybe a ferret or a mongoose could be cool.Or a turkey!
But cats are just as good as dogs in my book. Actually animals in general are pretty great.
Always a good subject for a game.
If it is a cat, maybe call it platycat.

I like it so far. Not being able to stop is kinda fun. I can see some very tight maze screens happening too.
Like a very tight maze with dissareappearing spikes or tiny jumps. Also springs that bounce you down,
and then a whole floor and ceiling of bouncing!

Yeah it’s like a little platform game with enemy’s and such and you can use sprigs to bounce you up, I like the way it’s going so far and i think this will be an okay little game by the end

Hm.Thats horrible. I for one dont use any antivirus, i even find ways to stop windows from doing what it wants. I would guess thats the issue(if using windows 10). Maybe its just quarantined?
See if you have a quaratine folder. And also,i know it may not help right now, but back up your whole 4.5 foldrr onto an sd card nightly. I almost lost all my stuff 2 nights ago.

Also if it is antivirus related, be sure to mark the whole nesmaker folder as an exception and for your antivirus not to bother it at all.

I am close to being in the same boat.It has to do with my MST files. I had to try a system restore on windows and it revert my freakin mst files but no other game files. We'll get back there. So graphics and code are fine .

Backup:
- project .MST files (or the entier folder if you place your project files in it)
- GraphicsAssets folder
- GameEngineData folder (if you modified/added any script)

If you haven't made any modification in the scripts... you're safe with that backup.
Else, I really suggest to also save the GameEngineData folder ;)
