"Choice based" game - like the old "Fighting Fantasy" Steve Jackson books

Hi, everyone.
My name is Felipe and I am looking for NES Maker tutorials on the internet to produce a game like the old Fighting Fantasy books.

The structure would be simple: a screen with an image, where the player can select one option (and then it would advance to another screen depending on his choice).
It is basic a "choice game" - there would be no actual gameplay elements, like jumping walking, etc. Just a choice based game (I did a mock up bellow):

As I said, the structure is simple: each screen would be an art + description + choices. Each choice would take the player to another screen like this, with other art and other options to select.

I'm having a hard time finding what I need in the current video tutorials.
Can someone help me by pointing me to any direction?

Thanks!

Drexegar on YouTube has made some videos that could be used to give you this in your game. It uses the userscreenbytes. You get 4 options (possibly 5?) On each screen , and it's with text.
