Hello! I can't think of anything clever

By trade, I am a database programmer for the school district (I make programs for admin personnel).
Socially, pre-Covid, I'm active in the Salsa dance community.
In the past I have toyed around with SCI Companion and Unlimited Adventurers.

At this point . . . this is a hobby.

Looking into this . . . and if I purchase the hardware . . . I think I have a life goal. Some people want to leave a book. Some want to leave a portrait. Some want to leave a composition.

I would like to leave a game. A physical game. That would be my ultimate goal.

So . . . I'm going to do it the hard way . . . I'm going to learn every damn path offered and stream it on YouTube. Warts and all.

It would be interesting to see how quickly an experienced programmer got to grips with the NesMaker software realtime via streams.

It's well worth the money.

I was able to learn .NET Framework on a steep curve, and the SCI Companion is Smalltalk / Lisp based.

I am eager to see what kind of spin NESMaker is going to put on Assembly.

I looked ahead and it certainly looks a lot easier to handle than Assembly of yesterday (I'm an 80s kid)

All I can say is . . . bring it on!

Greetings and Salutations Johnny. I feel you will pick up on the asm coding quite quickly! Might be a few hic-ups along the way, but you'll get it.

Welcome Johnny
Very glad to have you here with us. NESmaker is a really great tool to start creating NES games. Following the tutorial, digging in the code, you will learn how to make your own game (and code).
On the forum, already a lot of resources from other members.
Feel free to ask, share, comments... ;)

Have fun!
