I'm back after a loooong break.

Hey everybody. I'm Austin, one of the original backers of Mystic Searches first kickstarter and owner of one of the fabled original Mystic Origins yellow carts #39. I was designing a game about couple years ago and just hit so many roadblocks in designing (probably because was trying to jump right into a complex metroidvania design right off the bat), and also just had personal life stress and stuff. I'm back, forgot how to use NesMaker but making my way through the new tutorials starting with Maze Game. Any other starting off point suggestions are welcome. Would also like to know if anybody knows any good asm tutorials that I could check out once i make it through Joes tutorials. Glad to be back!

Don’t really have many tips for this stuff, happy to meet you for the first time, glad you came back, my only real tip is too keep your first project simple and move onto harder stuff when you are more experienced

There's been a lot of improvements and tutorials here from the community. My advice is, after the official tutorials, look through the tutorials and help forums here and bookmark the things you want to implement/learn about.

Also, there are some very helpful knowledgeable people on the NesMaker discord server too who are happy to help.
