Oh dude! I just figured out you can highlight notes and transpose them an octave up or down as a group! I have been doing it manually... It's so nice

You can see all the shortcuts for FamiTracker in File -> Configuration -> Shortcuts, and modify them however you wish. Can definitely help with workflow.

Hahah Thanks Cutter, you're always helpful! :D I had no idea about a lot of these short cuts... I'm like a kid in a candy store! (A candy store that responsibly practices social distancing.)

Listen to it here: https://clyp.it/yxtahegc

Oh! And as my new "norm" I left pulse 2 alone so it won't affect sound effects used during this song!

Ugh... I'm dyin' here... My keyboard broke literally the day I posted that preview.... And then my replacement got lost during shipment... So now... crossing fingers... knocking on wood... My replacement for the replacement should be arriving tomorrow... I'm itching to get back into making tracks

vary nice, impresive how you only used 2 instrements
Thanks man! Sometimes though... *cough* I'm so excited to just get the melody out I kind of skip proper instruments... Other times I do it so I don't forget how it goes, I can't write music so best I can do is record myself whistling the tune to try and remember.

Hmm intriguing way of writing a tune might try it some time, usually I just start wrighting and I tell myself where to go, but any approach to music is good :3

Haha yeah I wish I could play an instrument.

Actually the reason a lot of my songs sound repetitive is because I think of them when I'm out and about, at work or driving. Then I get so caught up in trying not to forget the tune that I end up whistling what I can remember over and over again... But then when I go to record the song... It's all I can remember of the tune... And when I need to "make more"... I can't... lol because all I can think is to loop it...

So I've got to learn how to break that mentality or most of my songs will just be 15-45 second loops.

Other times there tunes that come to me that I simply can't whistle... so those tunes just poof away...

I have whistled concept versions of most of my 8bit tunes...

For fun here are two that I plan to work on in the future (However before you click, turn DOWN your volume. The recordings are rough, I tried to make it so it won't bleed your ears.)
Action Fight Concept
NesMaker Byte Off Song 1

Hmm vary interesting, both of thoughs are really good tunes, interested in how you would do the action fight song, because I would try and make the main melody start in octave 2 and follow along then I would copy and paste it into pulse 2 and lower the octave, quick little trick that can make a tune sound really cool and sorta give it a rock style, and byte off song 1 is vary interesting definitely for like a title theme

I really like your tunes! The sand boss battle track gave me some of those old school California Games vibes. I'm gonna follow this thread for a while :)

Yeah I think I'm going to work on that Action Fight Concept next, you're welcome to make your own version of it. I'd be interested in seeing what you come up with :D

Legit.... the majority of my troubles is just figuring out the notes... I spend a LOT of time going "C, C, A.... nope that's not it... delete, delete, delete.... C, C, D... Nope... that's not it..."
