thank you! I got it! also, is there a thread about how you can attach another sprite onto the player like they did with mega man's face to add more possible colors? I would like to add clothes of different colors.an9vj6L_700b.jpg

i dont mind. can one adjust the distance one has to be from the screen to trigger scrolling? i hope to make her throw spears and the edge of the screen is too close for my taste.

I’m not sure, Thes are really thing you should be posting as their own posts in ask for help, since I’ve only been using nesmaker for about a year and only recently started diving into code

In one of the official tutorials Joe talks about where the scroll starts but sorry, I can't remember which one it's on. I think he mentions how to change it in the code too. If you watch all the tutorials about scrolling modules and of course the introduction tutorials you'll find what you're after.

Search for posts by Mugi or CutterCross on this subject. It's not too difficult for cutscenes when layering backgrounds with objects but for a moving player or monster it's more involved and advanced. Kasumi has done it too but these are all ASM wizards.

Having read the above link, it doesn't sound quite as complex as I first thought it was.
