Hi monster slayer is mainly a culmination of all my desires to make a legend of zelda, pokemon ,and crystalis game mix witch im finally getting some good results with, so far ive strive to not just make this game playable with cool features but ive tried my best to make it fun like someone once said "if its not fun why bother?" angain this is what ive wanted to make since i got nesmaker and i started work on a game callled cat rescue i ended up losing my patients on that because ive had to restart from scratch 5 times each time i made it atleast half way trough development , anyway back to Monster Slayer ive had so much fun making this demo i think all the times i had to restart on catrescue gave me alot of practice using nesmakers tiles in smart ways witch i show of in this demo, also i did the sound track witch i think is pretty good idk i think i did a better job on spirit impels sound track witch is currently in the W.I.P section, if you like Life Force or Gradius you should check it out,again ive but so much effort into this demo but im not sure i can add anymore till byte off ends so im going to post this here for now and make up dates when i can, here is a few screen shots from the game to show you the art and some mechanicsMonsterSlayer1.pngMonsterSlayer2.pngMonsterSlayer3.png

update 1. adds the insides of houses and more npcs, it also fixes all of the current issues i knew about
update 2. i placed the player in the wrong place good thing no one downloaded it yet

Am I meant to be able to talk to the human characters? Because none of them seem to respond to anything, including the guy on the first screen.

Yeah the npc script is weird you have to talk to them from the left or right or be one tile away

But I think the only way I could find would screw up the bounding box for the character

i found a work around so imma update it with some more stuff that i can do before school starts in 2 hours and 2o minutes

yeah it has the fixes for alot of stuff so i suggest playing it now, not most of the art is early btw

It took me a few days besides setting the player up and getting npcs to work, I am pretty used to making maps with the nesmaker tool and okay with famitracker all tho I’m pretty sure every thing I do is gonna be ingnored because cuttercrosses new demo witch honestly just seeing the intro looks amazing but yeah about a week, only because I’m so used to this, also this is a demo and I plan to have a mor puzzelish style of level design but I can’t make the next level this week cuz school also my friend who is working with me is busy

Very fun. Great job. I am still playing through. I keep getting killed by the monsters at the end of the second level. I'll get through soon.

Yeah it has a lot of hp I think like 10 or 12 but that all I have for the demo right now

I played this this week and liked it! Got to the end. Boss fight was cool. It did glitch freeze on me twice but overall ran well. Good music!
