Move from screen to screen

Watched all of Joe's 3+ hour tutorial and have the basic "Beach" game setup. But other than warps, I didn't see anything about moving off the screen to another one.

I'm sure it's something very simple. Which tutorial has that?

Thanks,

What are you trying to do? If you place 2 screens next to each other you can walk back and forth between them, or up and down.

Yeah, I want him to go to the next screen Zelda-style, but instead he just loops to the other side of the same screen.

Which module do you use ? If you have the ArcadePlatformer, that would move from screen to screen. You might want to check in your player object's "Object Details" in the "Details" tab to see if your "Edge Object Reaction" is set to "Go To Next Screen".

It was the "Tutorial_v_4_5.MOD" which is what Joe showed here: https://vimeo.com/426320736/537dd06f4a

I've also tried the other module that came with it which is "Empty_v_4_5.MOD"

For both these the "Edge Object Reaction" says "Null" or "Edge 1" to "Edge 7." I don't see a "Go To Next Screen" anywhere.

So I probably have to use a different module that what came with it? Would be nice if those were bundled in the download...

Sorry, found the next Tutorial. Wasn't sure if it was the same one I had already watched already (only broken into multiple files.)

Also, the scripts for the different modules are bundled in the latest version of the main Nesmaker download. I think you might have the very early download of nesmaker ? You can go through the next summer camp videos, and then you have the module specific videos, and if you redownload your Nesmaker, it has the newest core, new module scripts that have been added over weeks following the 4.5 release.
