NESMaker Coffin

I got sick of my cart flasher just hanging out all bare, so I picked up one of these little wood coffins from American Science and Surplus for about $3.

I used some spare tar paper I had laying around to cover up my shoddy dremel work on the top, which you can see in the last 2 pics.
I may paint the thing, I may not, I dunno. Just thought it was seasonally appropriate and that you folks might get a kick out of it.

It's not the prettiest but it's functional.

You'll also see I borrowed two screws from the hinges to screw down the PCB. They were the perfect size and I couldn't pass that up.

EDIT: Now that I'm looking at it, I may flip the hings and the latch. It kind of bugs me that the cart faces the hinges. Hell I might just order another one of these coffins and call this one practice, haha. Cheers.

You guy have the coolest shops in the US.

Thats dead good!

A clear perspex top might look nice. Remains to be seen. Could be a grave mistake.

The cow in the background looks a little worried lol. After seeing this I'm thinking of ideas for the multi-flasher I ordered. Obvs its a bigger footprint so maybe a double coffin or a sandwitch box. I wonder if they need any sort of airflow for the chips? Not sure if they'd get hot or not or if thats anything to worry about.

At one point someone was making little nes consoles you could attach the flasher to. Unfortunately these don't appear to be available anymore. I would have had loved to pick one up.

The cow is MooHouse, and the board doesn't seem to heat up much, although I don't leave it plugged in for very long.
