New User - Unable to Launch NES Maker

Running windows 10 64 Bit.
Tried both 64 bit and 32 bit versions of NES Maker
nothing happens when I run the EXE
no virus scanner installed

Downloaded .Net framework 5.0 64bit runtime... that didnt help.
I tried all the above based on other forum posts I found, but still no luck

Also, how does registration work? If I install this on my laptop, can I later install it on my desktop? or is it tied to one system?

Thanks in advance.

Also I had something similar but I right clicked and clicked to run it with my grafics processor and it worked

You are tied to 2 systems and then the code you got for paying “expires” witch just means you can’t use it on another computer but you still are allowed to use 2 alerts PCs or laptops

Yeah, Windows 10, 64-bit.
not sure what you mean by running it with grafics processor?
I tried running as administrator, no luck

Okay, good that I can try running it on my laptop as well... but a little concerned about how the licensing works

Okay so go to nesmaker.idk what comes after a dot the right click you should see and option to run with grafics processor, then click the top most option and it should work, if it’s the same problem I had

And the license is just a code really, just to make sure people don’t pirate the program

Regards licence, it's for two machines IP addresses but they'll change if you need to so no sweat.

Have you tried it both on your laptop and your desktop? Are you using a VPN?

Jonny, that is good news.
I am not on a VPN. I have not tried on my laptop. Its packed up. I dont really want to run it there.

okay, I realized I dont need to actually use my registration code on the laptop, since it wont even launch on my desktop....
So I dug it out and ran it. It runs fine on my laptop.

Hmm idk what’s going on then, don’t think I can help you though since I have never had any problems with my desktop computer

Looks like you haven't all the files in your folder.
Make sure to download the 4.5.9 from https://www.thenew8bitheroes.com/downloads
(just click on "64bit"... that's it)
Then unzip the downloaded file (right click 7-zip > extract here)
And run the NESmaker.exe

wow... okay... no idea why this is... but I noticed you said 7zip... and I wanted to be thorough, so I downloaded it a third time and extracted with 7zip and now its working..... I was using windows to unzip it before...

Thanks... works... now I need to learn this crazy program.

I've already made it thru the first 3 days of Xmas. And I have an animated onewheel scooting around my screen. <3
