I realize what I've produced is quite rudimentary, but consider that I produced it on the living room TV and a tiny keyboard. My tools:

haha! I'm laughing because this is the kind of thing I do in the persuit of convinience and economy.

After playing the demo (an not reading your notes) I realised that I've played far too many games without fall damage. It came as a bitter surprise.

I got to the end though! It was great... simple but fun.

It seems to fit the 8-bit heroics theme. The developers of the time surely worked under similar constraints.

I'm planning one more demo here before converting it to an actual named game in the WIP forum. Stay tuned!

The strangest thing I've heard about development tools is that during the production of Street Fighter 2, the artists used special keyboards to create pixel art, whereby each key was a different colour. It was to speed up sprite drawing. Sounds like a total nightmare.

I'll look out for the WIP.

I love the art style, it reminds me of a game called Love.
