(SOLVED) Adventure weapons 4.5.9

I’m watching wedNESday Adventure Game Tutorial and I’m having a problem with melee. I can’t get it to work. I don’t know if it’s something I’m doing or if it’s because the tutorial is for a different version of Nesmaker. Is there a more detailed or more current version of a weapon tutorial someone can point me too?

Update:

Just watched 20 min projects: Adventure. I still can’t get it to work.

I have an npc that gives me the weapon as magic item 1. I have Weapon 1 unlocked. The animations are set in melee, it’s set as a player weapon. The item has a speed. B is set to ChangeToAttack in main game.

I’m going to keep looking. I’ll keep you updated.

I’m making progress. I forgot that there are tutorials on the website that aren’t on the YouTube channel. I now have a sword, but it is a projectile. I’ll keep with the tutorial and figure it out.

Hey where did you find these tutorials? I'm also trying to make a sword but the adventure video is outdated and uses different scripts.

Look on the NESmaker website. Under LEARN, there are a bunch of tutorials. I believe it was the adventure one.

OHHhhhhhh I never realized you could click on the BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, and ADVANCED graphics to get to video tutorials. Those don't look like links at first glance, can't believe I missed that though. I'll watch these, thanks!

I'd suggest to follow all the "Intermediate" and "Advanced" tutorials. (you can skip the beginner, you won't learn anything new from them)
