Staying motivated

Wondering what everyone does to stay motivated?

Had to take a week off from NESMaker, have some big bug still and can't get the save feature to work. I've almost quit earlier on but glad I stuck with it.

I take breaks and I am still currently working through the pikuma class - over 80 % done. Hopefully I will be able to come back to NesMaker in the next 2-3 weeks :)

You're doing the right thing by taking a break if you feel like it. The important thing when you're working with NESmaker is to have fun.

Sometimes I need a break from my NESmaker projects too. Then I usually make Commodore 64 games or start another blank NESmaker project. It can be fun to make small projects to experiment with different things. That way you don't have to feel so dedicated to the project and you can ditch the game at any time and start something new.

And by the way. That flash saving thing is super advanced. Most NESmaker users haven't done that yet. So don't let that issue bring you down.

@baardbi Thanks my guy. I feel that the guide on here is pretty straight forward. I'll keep at it :) Really enjoying the new videos they are helping my along.

Iv just had over a year off my project and so much has changed and new exciting things are happening with people pushing the boundaries and now I don't know where to pick up from on my game lol! ... too big a break, whoops... not by choice though unfortunately.
I cant wait to watch all the new user tutorials @baardbi yours are first on my list :)
