Hi guys I'm not sure how welcome non NESmaker projects are here, just let me know if its not ok to post here.
The Audio producer from flea "Tui" introduced me to Valdir on twitter and we started prototyping something. Its a puzzle game spin off from flea called Tapeworm Puzzle Disco.
Tui will be returning to make some more bangin tunes.

Play the demo Here:

Kickstareter Launches 16th December

Its a mix between snake and Lolo

Each level has an objective like:
-Collect all the notes
-Help the fleas collect the blood
-Help Fleada get to the gig on time

the worm has a set length so you have to manage your moves carefully while avoiding enemies.
You can undo / wind the worm back into the tape to step back and try another rute.
Still early days were working on getting a prototype together for a new kickstarter.

Here's the currant box art

Demo coming soon.

Here's a mock up of what I'm thinking for the title screen, not in game yet but think its achievable.

Flea is out there now and people seem realy happy with it. the Dreamcast community is also very welcoming to anyone who was wondering. loads of press attention from them and its selling well.

What you guys think?

I love it! If you aren't using NESMAKER, What are you using? Or are you building from the ground up? Would it still play on NES hardware? or is it just style of 8bit. I'm excited to see this progress into a demo!

I tried Flea, too! I thought it was one of the better ones I have seen so far. (Only joined last night) I did encounter a few issues though. The lives stopped counting down and staretd showing random characters like 9> instead of 91. then the same happened to the blood count when i got to ~130. But the always jumping game mechanic was a pretty cool idea.

Building from scratch, well on a code base that Valgir was working on, yip still NES hardware playable.
Thanks , I'm glad you like flea :)
Hmm was that the demo that had the bugs, some of the blood code was a bit older on that.

Looks like Anteater arcade but a lot more enjoyable to play.

Do you do the videos or hire a professional company? They look amazing!

I'm dabbling with Adobe premiere at the moment but Devinci Resolve looks better. I'd never heard of it before now. Cheers

Sorry for going off topic with your game thread. Having read that, I'm going to give Resolve a try. The screenshots of Interface look a bit more intuitive than Adobe stuff.

Looking forward to th kick-starter launch. I missed the last one. It looks great, super polished and fun. Unlike oilswell/Anteater in that respect as they're really not enjoyable like Tapeworm looks to be.
