Hey all :D

Sorry I've been a little quiet, but I'm still making progress in the game! I won't lie though, some limitations have been a little frustrating, such as the broken scrolling... My Assembly knowledge is basically limited to changing values, and copying and pasting scripts, so I don't have much luck fixing or implementing anything :p so I've decided to take a short break from developing the game, but I'm still working out on stuff for it! I've just finished this quick turnaround of Sue, the main character:

I'm strongly considering making a short comic to accompany the game, to cover some of the backstory without sacrificing those precious bits of memory! This turnaround will come pretty in hand for that ^_^

Please lmk what you think!

Very cool man. You're a fantastic artist. Love the idea of a comic too, can only help bring the game to life whenever it's ready for us to play :)

Yes, I'm hoping/waiting for a fix for the scrolling issue myself. One project is still in an older version, another one in the current one. I'm still not sure which one I like better. Scrolling is nice, but if it glitches out it's a bit useless.

I love your animation :)

I hope you will make a comic for your game. It would definitely heighten the experience/immersion in your character's universe :)
I love your art style, reminds me of Belgian/French comics. I think the style is called ligne claire, but I'm not a comics buff ^^

Yup, ligne claire is basically what my inspiration for this art style is! I think it's really clean and effective, and it looks good for both static drawings and animations ^_^

Looks Cool. Is this in 4.1.5? If so, maybe i can help if you want any help. Please update this if you have time.

are you optimizing your tile usage with the game objects ?
simply drawing frames of animation fills it up really fast, but with a bit of extra work and shiru's screentool to help you weed off dublicate tiles and/or identify near dublicate tiles can get you pretty far with how much you can fit into it.

for example, i was able to cram this into mine (my game uses switchable graphics so there's extra objects included with the player, but this does actually fit into the chr without the objects.)

the chr itself looks something like this with dublicates removed:

How do you use switched objects??
