What's Up with Infiniteneslives?

I wanted to pick up some boards and they don't seem to carry them anymore. I remember someone here saying if you messaged them they would still make the mapper 30 boards for you... low-and-behold their support link doesn't work... So I don't have a way to contact them. .. Anyone else having this issue?

First time I went on to buy they were showing OOS with a message on the website, then when I checked a month later only the multi-cart one was available, which to be honest isn't that much more expensive than getting just the NES slot one.

Not sure what to suggest. I scouted ebay etc when I couldn't get one and none for sale in UK or US.

I think the designer/maker dude is changing where they're made and designs of some of his boards which is why a lot of stuff is not available. You might have to wait a while.

If you need it flashing before xmas, I'd offer to flash a board for you but im in UK.

I'd appreciate that Jonny, I have a handful of carts and boards left so I should be okay. I was trying to pick up a bulk purchase of carts and boards for when I am ready to release a game. The shipping from Broke Studios is much higher then last time I made a purchase... Was hopeing I could get them from infiniteneslives but no luck there either. might have to bite the bullet.

Try Aliexpress if you need a lot of empty carts in 10's or 100's or whatever in different colours. Standard grey worked out about £2 each once I'd paid duty to DHL. No idea what the end cost would be for US. I'd presume less from China to US. Maybe you can save a bit there and then the brokestudio shipping wont seem as bad :)

Paul (from INL) told me the NESmaker flasher and mapper30 boards will keep being sold. The new multi-mapper boards he will sell will NOT replace the mapper30 bards.
You can still order the directly from: https://www.infiniteneslives.com/nesmaker.php

Else, if you want mapper30 boards, you can also order from Broke Studio: https://www.brokestudio.fr/product/nes-unrom512-mapper30/
(from France, but very good price and reasonable shipping rates)

You need to choose "Vertical" boards for using with NESmaker!

They also sell gray shells (+ sleeve)

I ended up getting their boards, I wanted to pick up the carts there too but it was really expensive for the bulk I was ordering.

Hi Dale,
That's unfortunately not correct, when you try to buy (programmer + mappers) by Infinite nes lives, you get the message "sold out", you can imagine that i'm not happy at all... I've bought Nesmaker license and now seems to be that there is no way to flash a cartridge and play it on a real hardware.... is any other way to make this happend? could you please give me a hand with this?

thank you in advance

I messaged them and never got a response. So I just ordered the boards from Broke (the carts would have made shipping insane) cause they have good prices and actually respond to emails. An the carts from some guy on etsy. Got 20 and 10 free. Damned good deal. Plan on doing a limited boxed (clam-shell box) release of 27 cartridges. Plus 1 for me, 1 for the person I made the game for and 1 as a giveaway to generate some traffic on my facebook page.

Broke Stuidos sells boards cheaper and they have a ton of them. Go with them.

Hmm weird. I clicked on it and it looks like it's in stock. Then again, I don't want to mistakenly buy it. Best bet is try messaging him. problem is he doesn't answer any Facebook messages. An the link on the site to contact him doesn't work. So I hope you have twitter. I didn't so I just went elsewhere.

I have seen a few other programmers. I believe RetroUSB and Broke Stuidos have one. Not sure if they work with the NESmaker.. I'm sure there are people who could answer that question better then I.

I've always had the best luck contacting INL through twitter DMs. Paul is a busy guy between family, producing PPE for hospitals and then doing INL stuff. I've sometimes had to wait weeks to get a response from him, but he has always come through for me 100%. He supplied all the boards and shells for my release this year (220 copies) and everything was prompt and professional.

I'm only mentioning this in here because the delay had caused confusion for me months ago.

I would advise to keep bugging him via email, or Twitter, and avoid contacting him on Facebook (he rarely ever checks that)

Can't email him when the link to contact him doesn't work. So for those who don't use twitter don't have a way to contact him if they don't already have his email address.
