[4.5] Title Screen Tile Issue

I made a title screen a while ago, and wanted to change the main graphic (eg. the “NESmaker Tutorial” image in the tutorials) to something else. I noticed now, that if I copy the top half of the graphic and paste it onto the screen, it works fine. But if I copy the BOTTOM half of the graphic and paste it onto the screen, it just duplicates the top half again.

I’ve tried all sorts of things, but it still only copies the tiles from the top half of what I want. Has anyone else run into this?

Obviously it worked fine the first time, so I have no idea what the issue is now.

I have not, but isnt that graphic cut into 2 parts like joe shows in the video?
Like i think he had to make a screen then change its options to make it allow 2 sets of certain tile graphics.
Maybe you need to set up your screens special settings so you can use both graphic files.

Yes I did all that, so I have two larger tile sets with the graphic, and two smaller tile sets for text. Everything was working fine, I just decided I wanted I change the main image. So the new image is split into two just like the tutorials, and it shows up fine in the small window. When I shift-select the top part of the image, I can paste it into the screen and it looks great.

But when I shift-select the tiles from the bottom half and paste it, it just clones the top half again.

Could be a bug of some sort. And or maybe ''you'' or ''it'' is not loading that 2nd half of the graphics, only the first half.

Might be. Cntrl c and v dint seem to do anything here. It’s supposed to copy automatically by selecting the tiles.

To clarify, I'm trying to get the whole "WnS" logo I designed. But slecting, copying, and pasting the bottom of the WS tiles just results in getting 2 copies of the top half.

Weird. Yeah it worked fine before (which is how I made my current start screen). I tried restarting, and I tried other backup copies of NESmaker but still having the same issue. Strange.

Try the other shift key.
Make sure not to have 2 instances of NESmaker open at the same time.
Use a new screen and just do a double main setting.
Only copy and paste the bottom half, not the top at all.
Try on a normal screen and on a 8x8 tile screen

I’ll try some of these, thanks for the suggestions.

I just noticed that it happens on game screens too, but only sometimes:

I have a number of game screens that use double main, and they operate just fine. Then some others, which I have set up exactly the same, don’t like the double main setup and clone only the top set of tiles. So it’s the same exact issue I’m having with the start screen.

Why it happens on some screens and not others is beyond me, lol

There is bug about that in the current version... Joe said on FB that those issues have been fixed in the new version (that will come this week).
