Controls feel a little loose, especially when jumping. Though I learned to compensate for that. if you take your thumb off the pad in midair, the guy will just drop directly to whatever he's under.
The balance feels uneven...a super-challenging stage with tight platforming is sometimes followed by a stage where all you have to do is climb a ladder. it could also use some more variety in the colors, but since the style is super-retro maybe that was intentional.
