Depends of how you want to use it... On mac, you can use:
- "BootCamp" native (free) tool already on your Mac OS that allows you to split your hard drive in 2... and dedicate a partition for a Windows OS. You use launch that tool and follow the assistant... install Windows.
After that, when you boot your mac you can chose to use Windows or MacOSX. It works very fast, using directly the hardware, like Windows on a real PC. But it means you will have to reboot each time you want to use one or another one.
- "Paralell Desktop" a commercial software, that allows you to create virtual machines (like emulation). You start the soft, you create a new "Windows" machine... ... install Windows. And now, each time you want to use Windows, you start that software. You can switch from that Windows machine to your MacOSX like switching from an app to another... you don't need to reboot to use both at the same time. But it's emulation, so, it's slower... and it's not Free (around 80$?)
- Also "VirtualBox", works like Parallel Desktop, but it's a free software. It's the one I use. It's a little slower than ParallelDesktop... but hey, it's free.
Of course, for any of those solution, you will need a Windows installation .ISO and a valid serial (you can buy Windows on Rakuten for a few $$... and usually then send you the link of the ISO file for your windows Installation).
(I have a old MacbookPro from 2012, so I decided to go with Windows7... it works well for my needs. It' my main NESmaker setup, I use it every day...since the beta
