Unfinished Prototype - Parallel Worlds PC Version

Since I cancelled development for the PC version of my game Parallel Worlds in favor of the NES version I'm creating with NESmaker, I thought I'd share the unfinished prototype here. Since it doesn't have much to do with NESmaker I thought I'd throw it into the Randomness section.

The first video shows off the title screen and a testing area. The second video shows off the first area of the game.

All you can do is move around and interact with objects. The Inventory is mainly just for show and the Status screen wasn't finished. This version didn't get very far into development. But with the introduction of NESmaker hopefully I'll breath new life into this project and truly make something special!

I like it, I like it a lot. Looks like the engine was fairly far in development. I hope you also port The Legend of Takemaru over once the Platforming module is complete or NESmaker develops far enough to make it viable before then.

That's probably the first NESmaker project I'll be working on once it comes out in August, remaking The Legend of Takemaru. It'll be a lot simpler to create and it'll give me a chance to redo things I wasn't happy with in the original.

Not to mention a good way to get accustomed to the NES and Tool's constraints and ways to work around them so they're not as pressing an issue when you start more complex projects.

Oh definitely, a platformer like this will be much simpler than a full-blown RPG.
