Vive la France!

Probably shouldn't be posting anything political but what is happening in France seems to be growing and I believe has relevance around the globe. I don't want to start any arguments or fighting but have to say I am solidly in support of the citizens of any country reclaiming power from a government who has lost touch with what is best for the people, or at the very least are doing things which the majority of the population disapproves of. Reports are 80%+ are in favour of the "revolution" for lack of a better word, I have seen several videos of police joining the demonstrators and French citizens who have uploaded videos showing what mainstream media isn't.
I honestly believe the government in Canada, federal and provincial are destroying the country and lowering quality of life for everyone but a few and it is growing worse rapidly. They want more and more taxes for less and less to cover their insane amount of waste. From the Globe and Mail - Mar 20, 2018 - When the NDP took over in 2015, Alberta's debt totaled $11.9-billion. It currently sits at $45-billion and is forecast to hit $71-billion by 2019-20.

So to the people of France I wish you all the best in your struggle and to the rest of the world... keep your eyes and ears open as to what your governments are doing and educate yourselves and protect your liberties.

Sorry, had to say something on the topic and it is a "general/random section". Take care.

Hey... yes it's a difficult moment for everyone... but I think in every country it's almost the same.
Will see how the government listen to the people. Currently I try to take of my family, think straight and work hard for hard.
... and support the NESMaker community ;)

dale-coop, you are in France, I can't imagine. I want to be there but to put on a yellow jacket and hit the streets, to be gassed, water hosed, hit with batons... killed, I don't care. That might sound crazy but I can not stand seeing government, police, and military wage war on the citizens they are supposed to protect. I hate governments, all governments, always been an anarchist I guess because politics are corrupt. I am so bothered by this I can not think clearly, our government is doing the same, letting in tons of immigrants who often don't work, use social services, cause crime and problems. Who pays for it? The honest hard working people who are already barely surviving because they can't afford basics. We just had Carbon taxes implemented, for the environment... so they say but it is not being spent on that I'm sure. I have friends in Sweden who told me terrible stories about refugees and immigrants and how bad things are becoming there as well. I guess it is everywhere. I don't hate people but I am sorry don't bring your countries problems to my country, stay in your country and fix it. Your government is evil, well overthrow them.
*sigh* As I said I am being consumed by this....
I hope you, your family and friends are safe... and I hope France rises up from this stronger and more free than before. I hope the world comes out of this better but in my mind world war is inevitable... maybe not right away but in my lifetime. I hope things get better because if it happens it will make every war prior seem like a school yard scuffle.

Funny how our news is not really giving too much details on any of it, and even online trying to get a proper idea of what is going on is difficult. I've seen French police in full riot gear throw an elderly man to the street, throwing a disabled man from his wheel chair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfXliw3lhRY

Again I apologize for my rants, these forums aren't meant for political issues but ... :( I want people to know the government is supposed to serve you, not control you!
