After a few hours of throwing something together for the byte-off, I have something! I am not going to enter it into the Byte-off though. It would just be hot garbage for whoever tried to play it. It needs tons of work yet. But, I have fallen in love with it and want to see it through to completion now. I'm calling this game "Zombies in da Hood!!". More to come in the future!
