Character Select Tutorial? 4.5.9

Looking to start a Pro Wrestling style game where yo can select your wrestler from a list of like 10 possible. I cant seem to find anything on how to select a different player character. Anyone done anything like this in Nesmaker?

Im looking to make a bonus stage for my game. So right now Im using the warp to screen to "press start" on my title to screen start the main game. However, i would like to add the feature of selecting or warping to a Mini game. What is the best way to do this?

Unless I am missing something this isn't what I am looking for. I want the player to be able to select from different characters that are each unique to play the game with, this is more like a level select tutorial or start menu screen.

For my game I used a combination of that and this:

I was about to suggest a complicated method involving loading a variable between 1 and 10 (depending on the chosen character) and drawing different sprites and each input doing different actions according to said variable, but your method is probably a lot easier

Ok... actually you're not that bad.

I just use this one because of simplicity, since my character have different abilities, speeds, and size.

Yes, my method is simpler, but yours would be more optimized.
