I take that back, I accidentally dropped it just now and broke it. From like 3 feet. Probably the Nintendo Gods punishing me for using a knock-off.

nes to usb adapter is the way to go. original nes controllers are nigh indestructable.

@SciNEStist My 8 bit do is back to normal now. It must have put it in some weird mode when it fell. I do want to try original NES controllers. Is that what your rollin' with?

yeah, i had set up at a convention and ran my game off a laptop. used 2 nes to usb connectors, worked like a charm.
