Good to see you found the tutorials! That's a great, if not mandatory, start of your NESMaker adventure. The beginner tutorials are pretty much about getting used to the UI and getting a starter project up quickly, personally I feel that the Intermediate (and later on the Advanced) tutorials is where things get interesting. Also, 12 Days of NESmas is a great intro to the software, so I'd suggest you watch that as well. All those can be found on https://www.thenew8bitheroes.com/learn, but I think you've found that already
There are fairly active NESMaker communities on Facebook and Discord as well, so if you feel like joining those, here are the links to those:

NESmaker is a great tool to start making NES games.
Make sure to follow all the tutotorial series (you can skip the "beginner" videos, you won't really learn anything from them).
Also, you can browse and search on the forum if you have issues or questions... a lot of topics have already been addressed.
Feel free to share any WIP or projects.
