Totally newbie here, hello world! Looking forward to making a board game I created into a simple video game. The concept is quite simple; you are running an arcade and trying to acquire more arcade machines to make your business popular and profitable. The main element would be NPC's interacting with machines to generate money and popularity points. Would Nesmaker be the right tool to implement this sim-like game? Thanks for any advice and feedback!

Hello and welcome!
It's definitely possible to make that game in NESmaker. However, I would not recommend doing that as your first game. Some of the things you mention require custom coding in 6502 assembly. If you haven't done so already, I recommend starting with the tutorials on the official NESmaker website. The 12 Days Of NESmas videos are also great. When you get accustomed to the tool it's super fun. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with :)
