Just finished the 12 Days tutorial with mild to moderate understanding of most concepts talked about lol. I just wanted to introduce myself, as I imagine I'll be here asking questions quite often. From what I have seen online, what some of you have created is just incredible.

My name is Matt. I'm 32, and from Alabama. I've been a gamer since I was 4, when I received an NES for Christmas. Little did my mom know how much that present would go on to shape my life lol. As I got older, I would always move on to each new console generation, but once I hit my early 20s, I got the itch to play my old favorites. I purchased an NES on Ebay, and have played retro games just as much as new games ever since. I don't have the physical old games and consoles anymore. It's just too financially demanding to pay so much for everything. I also just don't have the space, as my Retro Room was lost with the birth of my daughter, so I just use a Raspberry Pi. My daughter is 4 now and is always my player 2. She loves old games just as much as I do. We're currently playing through Yoshi's Island.

Anyway, I hope to get to know most of you soon. I'm extremely excited to get started on my first project. Hopefully, all goes well.

Best wishes.

Welcome Matt
Glad to have you here with us.
After the 12 Days of NESmas, I recommend to follow all the "intermediate" and "expert" ones (skip the "beginner" you won't learn anything from them).
Can't wait to see what you will create with NESmaker.

have fun!
