I was insulted by a stranger for posting about my homebrews on r/nes. They can be a hostile community. It's random. Some of the people were very welcoming. But one comment was straight up rude and attacked me personally for no reason.

I find that posting in genre-specific sub-reddits is a good idea and the r/ROMs community always loves free games to download.
