MetroVania Test Game

I've spent a few days throwing together a MetroVania test game. The reason for this is that I'm experimenting with a few things. The biggest thing is the map screen.

Right now it's just a boring little game with two power ups hidden in some of the rooms and only one enemy type. The game is mostly working, so that's why I thought I would upload it here if anyone wants to try it out. Don't focus too much on the graphics and level design. This is just a test.

- To access the map screen press Select on the controller

- Power up 1: Run shoes (hold down B to run)

- Power up 2: Jump shoes (makes you jump higher)

pretty neat. if you hit select while the screen is scrolling it messes up, so you will want to force the scroling to stop when changing to the map. changing back and forth can also respwan enemies, which isnt such a big deal, unless you start adding boss fights and such.

one option would be to have the map come up not on its own screen, but as part of a drawbox. that way the screen isnt being re-loaded

Yeah. I bet there are tons of bugs like that in there. Thank you for pointing that out. I uploaded a fixed version with stop scrolling on the "go to map" script.
