Greetings!

Im finally back on Nesmaker with 1 of 2 projects im currently working on, the second one being 99 crystals( from the Byteoff). This one is a shooter in the vain of Afterburner,Top gun etc, albeit simpler (No fancy rotating screen, lol ) this is a very early build of the game. The bulk of this was done in about 2 weeks and a half, so there is much to do, but im very happy with the performance so far. Once I actually start optimizing the code and sprites, it should get even better. This time around I decided to hire a "sound guy", so Logan is working on the OST for this one, as well as the other versions I will be working on. I will be working on a complete original version of this game on UE 5, so he will be working on that version as well. Still has many bugs, uneven sprite placement etc, but it will all be worked on by the next version of the demo. Enjoy!

So far, the gameplay is fairly enjoyable, and the way the "Game Over" text is animated is cool! But perhaps you could lower the difficulty by some degree? Not too much, but enough to keep it challenging. Also, I really would appreciate the ability to move diagonally and to see sprites for the projectiles going towards enemies. I need to know that I'm actually firing the shots, because it was not clear to me at first.

One of the last things I do is balance the difficulty and the sorts, so there will definitely be some changes here and there. Projectile wise, there is some optimization to do, so once I iron that out, I will implement it, as long as it doesn't hamper gameplay in terms of framerate etc. Thx for playing it!
