Unofficial Docs

Even as someone who has NESMaker experience, scrubbing through the tutorial vids for relevant information has been my biggest barrier to making more games.

So I started deconstructing the official tutorials and aim to build some functional docs so I can just ctrl+f for the info I need rather than watching through the same 30 minutes of player asset building, that every tutorial has, just to find out that ladder scripts were covered singularly in a different tutorial; or that I need to "dig into the code" to actually make melee weapons stick to the player while moving.

Will I finish the project? I dunno. There's a game I'd rather be working on if I didn't keep hitting road blocks. But I did layout a format that I would want completed docs to take. I got screenshots of the process of the maze tutorial, and I wrote details up to the point where instruction would actually be useful... and that was my weekend. I need a break.

I know there's a wiki that was started, but I'm not familiar with editing, or even properly using wiki's, so I went the Google Docs route. If anybody wants editing access to contribute I'd be happy to oblige. If anyone wants to use my text or screenshots for their own documentation, help yourself.

Brilliant! I'm not a massive fan of the current wiki. It's not the content as such, just the chosen platform with its advert bombardment. I believe its possible to do a wiki style setup with google sites.

Awesome ! Great work <3
(I did that for the old versions... but so many changes each version... I (we) thought it was smarter to wait for a definitive (stable) version.
