Hello all,

My name is Brent and I'm a solo indie dev on Vancouver Island, Canada. My professional background is predominantly art, animation, and game design for Html-5 based branded games, however I've been working on a mid-scope personal project the last few years that unfortunately failed its KS last year. The KS trailer is here if anyone is interested. That version of the game was made in Construct.

I recently found NESMaker and immediately got super stoked at the possibility of making something for the console I grew up on. I've started learning 6502 directly but feel that this is a fantastic tool to help prototype, develop, and eventually release an official game with. My goal is to do a scaled down (to fit the NES) version of Super Tobu Adventures to offer people!

I'll likely have lots of questions (I promise I'll scour the forums before bugging anyone with a new thread) and hope to meet some of the NES Dev community.

Thanks so much in advance,
Brent

Hey, welcome Brent @FireskiesStudios
Glad you joined us, in our great community. People from all around the world.
NESmaker is very cool tool to create small NES games or prototypes, ... A lot of members have already made awesome games.

Super Tobu Adventures looks very cool! It would make a perfect NES game, I agree.
Don't hesitate to ask if you have questions, issues, bugs, ... (also, use the search functions or browse the "Scripts", "Community tutorials" and "Ask for help" sections... a lot of answers already there).
Before everything else, I strongly suggest you (in fact, you HAVE TO :p) watch all the tutorial videos from the official website, you will learn all the basis, how to use NESmaker, how it works, how to set the different elements, ...

Can"t wait to see how will go your project, feel free to share in the WIP section.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I'm working my way through the 12 Days of NESmas series atm and will be exploring the other modules after that :)
